Please do not even give these private parking tickets the time of day. Write to them to appeal parking ticket and in most cases you will get turned down. The reason I would discourage any contact with these companies is they will constantly pest you with empty threats. This is because legally these are not parking tickets they are invoices.
To make things clear let us set one example in which a company named Euro Car Parks did not even took anyone to court for non payment of their parking fines. As a general rule if any company seeks to take you into court over non payment, then they need to prove you as a registered keeper who was party to any contract (when you enter their car park you enter in to a contract). That is to say they need to clear out the fact that you were not even driving the car at that time. Even if they proves it that you were in actual driving the car, then also they would be entitled to the amount on behalf of you a mere pay e.g. 2 pounds for an extra parking hour.
So in conclusion never pay a parking ticket from a private company. Whatever they threaten to do to you - they can't! Always take advise first from a parking appeals service.
